First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at 46 people with carpal tunnel syndrome to see if different ultrasound measurements of the median nerve match their symptoms and nerve test results. Researchers measured nerve size and appearance at several points in the wrist and compared them to pain levels and electrical nerve tests. The goal was to better understand which ultrasound features are most useful for diagnosis.
