New ultrasound tech aims to make epidurals quicker and less painful

NCT ID NCT05909085

Summary

This study aims to see if a new automated ultrasound device helps doctors place labor epidurals more easily than a standard handheld one. It will involve 200 women in labor and measure how many needle adjustments are needed and how accurate the device's guidance is. The goal is to improve the procedure for patients receiving pain relief during childbirth.
