New ultrasound treatment targets nerves to tame stubborn high blood pressure
NCT ID NCT05372679
Summary
This study is testing a new medical device that uses ultrasound energy to calm overactive nerves near the kidneys, which can help lower blood pressure. It's for adults with stage 2 high blood pressure that isn't controlled well enough by their current medications. The main goals are to see if the one-time procedure is safe and if it reduces blood pressure readings three months later.
