Ultrasound 'Pops' bubbles to make liver cancer radiation more effective
NCT ID NCT03199274
Summary
This study tested whether using special ultrasound bubbles could make liver tumors more sensitive to radiation treatment. Researchers compared standard radiation therapy against radiation combined with ultrasound that 'pops' these bubbles. The goal was to see if this combination approach helped shrink tumors better in 104 patients with liver cancer.
