Can a simple scan predict your pain relief?

NCT ID NCT07133139

Summary

This study aims to see if a special ultrasound measurement, called the NUN biomarker, can track changes in chronic low back pain and predict who will benefit most from a treatment called dry needling. Researchers will compare real dry needling to a fake (sham) treatment in 80 adults with muscle-related back pain. The main goal is to learn if changes in the ultrasound scan match up with how much a person's pain improves.
