Study reveals how processed foods trick your appetite
NCT ID NCT07600281
First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026
Summary
This study looked at how the level of food processing and taste affect appetite and digestion in 40 healthy adults. Participants ate four different meals that varied in processing (ultra-processed vs. non-ultra-processed) and palatability (high vs. low taste appeal). Researchers measured hunger, fullness, and how fast food moved through the gut. The goal was to understand these effects, not to treat any condition.
