Quick-blast radiation for prostate cancer shows promise in small pilot study

NCT ID NCT03486821

First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This pilot study tested a new way of giving radiation for early-stage prostate cancer using fewer, stronger doses (ultra-hypofractionation). The main goal was to see if this approach causes less urinary side effects than standard radiation. The study enrolled 13 men with low-risk prostate cancer and tracked their urinary function and cancer control over time.
