New hope for kids with bowel disease: 8-Week treatment trial

NCT ID NCT04314375

Summary

This study is testing whether budesonide extended-release tablets can help children aged 5-17 with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis achieve remission. Participants will take either the medication or a placebo for 8 weeks while continuing their standard background treatments. The main goal is to see if more children taking the medication achieve clinical remission compared to those taking the placebo.
