First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at whether taking ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), a bile acid pill, can help the liver grow back faster and work better after a living donor gives part of their liver. 90 healthy liver donors took either UDCA or standard care after surgery. The goal was to measure liver regrowth and function in the first two weeks. The study is complete, but results are not yet reported.
