First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether a newer imaging method called TXI can find precancerous changes in the colon as well as or better than the standard dye-based method in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). About 242 adults with IBD will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods during a routine colonoscopy. The goal is to see which technique detects more abnormal cells that could turn into cancer.
