First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether people with kidney failure who still have some kidney function can safely dialyze only twice a week instead of the usual three times. 58 patients on hemodialysis for at least 3 months with residual kidney function took part. Researchers measured quality of life, symptoms, and cognitive function to see if the reduced schedule was effective.
