Tuna nuggets show promise for heart health
NCT ID NCT07462858
First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested whether eating tuna-based nuggets for three months could improve heart health in people with ischemic cardiomyopathy. 120 overweight or diabetic heart patients took part. The nuggets helped lower inflammation markers like IL-6 and CRP. The approach is a dietary supplement, not a cure, and ongoing heart management is still needed.
