Heart surgery swelling: can a simple tube adjustment help?

Summary
This study aims to find the safest way to manage pressure in the breathing tube during heart bypass surgery to reduce throat swelling. Researchers will compare keeping the tube pressure at zero versus a standard low pressure during the procedure. They will use ultrasound scans to measure swelling in the throat and tongue of 76 patients undergoing elective heart surgery.
