Simple clip aims to soothe Post-Surgery sore throats
NCT ID NCT05383417
Summary
This study tested a small, biocompatible clip designed to be placed on the breathing tube used during surgery. The goal was to see if the clip could reduce pressure on the voice box and prevent common side effects like sore throat, hoarseness, and trouble swallowing after anesthesia. One hundred patients having planned surgeries were randomly assigned to either receive the clip on their tube or have a standard tube without it.
