New heart drug targets sticky proteins in rare disease
NCT ID NCT07448623
First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study is for people with a heart condition called ATTR-CM, where abnormal protein builds up in the heart and makes it stiff. Researchers are testing a new medicine called coramitug, which is designed to bind to that protein and help remove it. The study uses special PET/CT scans to see how the drug travels in the body and whether it can clear the protein deposits. About 14 people aged 60 and older will take part to check safety and how well the drug works.
