First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study reviewed medical records of 300 cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors to see if measuring troponin (a heart enzyme) could predict serious heart events like heart attacks or myocarditis. The goal was to find out if this monitoring helps prevent heart problems without unnecessarily stopping cancer treatment. The study is complete and aims to guide future surveillance strategies.
