New triple drug cocktail aims to tame tough diabetes

NCT ID NCT07244003

First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether a triple combination of diabetes drugs (metformin, SGLT-2 inhibitors, and GLP-1 receptor agonists) works better than other oral medications for people with type 2 diabetes who have poor blood sugar control. About 430 adults aged 18-75 with a BMI of 20 or higher will take part. The main goal is to see if this combo lowers HbA1c (a key blood sugar measure) more effectively, while also checking safety and effects on blood pressure and cholesterol.
