Summary
This study compares two existing medications, carbamazepine and oxcarbazepine, to see which works better for reducing severe facial nerve pain (trigeminal neuralgia). Researchers are testing 122 adults to measure pain relief and compare side effects like liver changes, nausea, and dizziness. The goal is to determine if oxcarbazepine provides equal or better pain control with fewer side effects.
