Vitamin d boost for psoriasis cream? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT04036188

First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether taking vitamin D pills along with using a steroid cream (triamcinolone) can improve mild to moderate psoriasis better than the cream alone. About 24 adults will use the cream for 4 weeks, then be split into two groups: one gets vitamin D, the other a placebo, for 12 weeks. After that, everyone receives vitamin D for another 12 weeks. The goal is to see if the combination reduces skin redness, scaling, and thickness.
