New drug TRD303 could ease pain after belly surgery

Summary
This phase 3 trial tests a drug called TRD303, applied directly to the surgical wound during abdominal surgery, to see if it reduces pain afterward. About 333 adults having elective abdominal surgery will receive either TRD303, a placebo, or an active comparator. The main goal is to measure pain intensity over 72 hours at rest.
