New emergency treatment trial aims to stop bleeding and save lives

Summary
This study is testing whether giving calcium in the ambulance and a hormone called vasopressin early in the hospital can help people with life-threatening bleeding from injuries. It will involve about 1,050 adults with severe trauma who are at high risk of bleeding to death. The goal is to see if these treatments improve survival, reduce the need for blood transfusions, and help the body's blood clotting system work better.
