New study aims to boost HIV prevention in black women facing violence

Summary

This study tests a program to help Black women in Baltimore start taking PrEP, a medication that prevents HIV. The program addresses challenges like intimate partner violence and racism that can make it hard to get PrEP. About 300 Black women who are HIV-negative and at risk will take part.
