First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tested whether tranexamic acid, a drug that helps blood clot, can safely stop vaginal bleeding in pregnant women with abruptio placenta (when the placenta separates from the womb too early). The trial included 116 women who were at least 24 weeks pregnant and stable. Researchers measured how well the drug stopped bleeding and whether it led to healthier babies.
