New pill tested to boost fight against lingering hepatitis b

NCT ID NCT06644417

Summary

This study tested whether adding a new tablet called TQA3605 to the standard antiviral drugs people already take for chronic Hepatitis B could better control the virus. It involved 122 adults who still had low levels of the virus in their blood despite long-term treatment. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the new tablets or a placebo (dummy pill) alongside their usual medication for 24 weeks to compare results.
