New thumb implant aims to ease arthritis pain and restore grip

Summary
This study looks at how well a special thumb implant (Touch® prosthesis) works for people with severe thumb arthritis. It includes 216 adults who have thumb joint pain and will receive the implant during surgery. The goal is to see if the implant reduces pain and improves thumb movement within 3 months after the operation.
