First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a gel containing amitriptyline, a medicine usually used for depression, can help people with burning mouth syndrome. 30 patients applied the gel inside their mouths for several weeks. Researchers measured pain levels before and after treatment and asked about side effects. The goal was to see if this gel could be a safe and effective option for easing the burning sensation.
