First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether a toothpaste with 5% potassium nitrate is better at reducing tooth sensitivity than a standard cavity-protection toothpaste. Eighty adults with sensitive teeth used one of the two toothpastes for eight weeks. Researchers measured sensitivity using a gentle touch and a puff of air to see which toothpaste provided more relief.
