Could your own blood speed healing after wisdom tooth surgery?
NCT ID NCT07351279
Summary
This study aims to see if placing a special blood clot made from a patient's own blood (called Platelet-Rich Fibrin or PRF) into the empty socket after wisdom tooth removal can help the neighboring tooth heal better. Researchers will compare PRF to a normal blood clot to see which one better reduces tooth sensitivity and the depth of gum pockets next to the extraction site. The goal is to find a simple way to improve recovery and comfort after this common dental surgery.
