Tooth decay study: do symptoms and cavity depth predict treatment success?
NCT ID NCT05816525
First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a tooth's symptoms before treatment and how deep the cavity is affect the success of partial decay removal. One hundred adults with deep cavities will be treated and followed for 12-24 months. The goal is to see if teeth with mild symptoms or deeper cavities heal differently. This is an observational study, meaning treatment is standard care and participation only adds questionnaires and check-ups.
