Fighting invisible tooth decay: study tests best defense for clear aligner wearers
NCT ID NCT07229105
Summary
This study aimed to find the best way to prevent white spots and early tooth decay (demineralization) that can form around the attachments used with clear aligners like Invisalign. Researchers followed 40 patients for six months, comparing three different remineralizing treatments against standard fluoride toothpaste. They used a special laser device to measure tiny changes in tooth enamel around the attachments over time.
