This study followed 1,802 people in Japan with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) who were taking the drug tolvaptan. Researchers wanted to see how safe and effective the drug is in everyday medical practice, not just in controlled trials. They measured changes in total kidney volume over time and tracked liver enzyme levels to monitor side effects.
