First seen Nov 11, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests a caregiver-led program delivered via telehealth to help autistic children ages 5 to 12 who have bowel incontinence (encopresis). The program teaches caregivers strategies to support their child's toileting, and the study compares it to parent education alone. About 150 children will take part to see if the program improves bowel control and reduces caregiver strain.
