Head-to-Head hair regrowth trial: can common drugs reverse severe baldness?

Summary
This study will compare two existing oral medications—tofacitinib and methotrexate—for treating severe forms of alopecia areata, an autoimmune condition causing significant hair loss. Seventy-eight adults with severe hair loss will take one of the medications for 12 weeks to see which helps more hair grow back. The main goal is to see which drug leads to better hair regrowth, measured by a standard scoring system.
