First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at whether specially designed text messages about the risks of using multiple tobacco products (like cigarettes and vapes) can help LGBTQ+ young adults quit or change their smoking habits. About 292 people took part. The messages were tailored to their community and compared to general health messages. The goal was to see if this approach is acceptable and feasible for future quit programs.
