New hope for amputees: surgery may stop phantom pain

Summary

This study compares two surgical techniques, TMR and RPNI, used alone or together, to reduce chronic and phantom limb pain in cancer patients who have had an amputation. About 45 adults will be randomly assigned to one of three groups. The goal is to see which approach works best and is safest for easing pain.
