Jaw pain relief? radiation study targets TMJ arthritis

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether low-dose radiation can reduce pain from arthritis of the jaw joint (TMJ). Ten adults over age 50 with TMJ arthritis will receive radiotherapy and report their pain levels and jaw function. The goal is to see if the treatment is safe and provides relief.
