First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study will test if using a specific type of intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) reduces nausea and vomiting after laparoscopic obstetric surgery compared to standard inhaled anesthesia. About 98 women undergoing elective laparoscopic procedures will be randomly assigned to one of the two anesthesia methods.
