Elastic band trick eases achilles pain in small study

NCT ID NCT07519148

First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding tissue flossing (wrapping an elastic band around the lower leg and doing ankle exercises) to standard exercises helps people with Achilles tendon pain. Thirty adults with long-term Achilles pain were split into two groups: one did flossing plus exercises, the other did exercises alone. Pain, ankle movement, and function were measured right after treatment and one week later. The goal was to see if this simple, low-cost technique could offer extra relief.
