Timing your meals could tame metabolic syndrome, new study suggests
NCT ID NCT07389603
First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether limiting when you eat (time-restricted eating) can improve health in people with metabolic syndrome—a group of conditions like high blood pressure, belly fat, and high blood sugar. Researchers will test if adding a program that also addresses eating habits and mindset helps people stick to the plan better. 64 adults in Mexico will try an 8- or 10-hour eating window for 8 weeks, with some getting extra support.
