Experimental cancer therapy trial halted after just two patients
NCT ID NCT06094426
First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tested a treatment that uses a patient's own immune cells (tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes) to attack advanced solid tumors. The goal was to check safety and side effects, but the study was stopped early after enrolling only 2 participants. Because the treatment is still experimental and lifelong monitoring is needed, it is not a cure.
