ER Mini-Stroke care under the microscope: are we missing the mark?

NCT ID NCT07339787

First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how emergency departments handle patients who have had a transient ischemic attack (TIA), also known as a mini-stroke. Researchers will review records of 300 adults diagnosed with TIA in 2024 to see if the care they received—like tests and treatments—matched their actual risk of having a full stroke. The goal is to find gaps in care and improve outcomes.
