AI and heat waves: new hope for thyroid cancer patients?

NCT ID NCT06316895

First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at how well ultrasound-guided thermal ablation (using heat to destroy cancer cells) works for people with low-risk papillary thyroid cancer. About 3,700 adults aged 18 to 80 with small tumors (≤2 cm) will be treated and followed for at least a year. Researchers will also create an AI model to predict treatment success and compare outcomes with standard surgery.
