Heated chemo plus surgery shows promise for rare chest cancer spread

Summary
This study looks at whether a special surgery (electrocautery) followed by heated chemotherapy given directly into the chest can help people with thymic tumors that have spread to the lining of the chest. About 70 adults aged 16 to 80 will take part. The goal is to see if this combination can delay the cancer from coming back or spreading further, and to check side effects and quality of life.
