New blood test may predict deadly clots in cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06051214

First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple blood test can predict blood clots in people with certain cancers (lung, pancreas, stomach, or brain). Clots are a major risk for cancer patients and can be life-threatening. Researchers will track 200 patients for 12 months to see if changes in the test match who develops clots. The goal is to create a better way to identify high-risk patients early.
