First seen Dec 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a type of brain stimulation called theta-burst TMS to see if it can safely reduce negative symptoms (like lack of motivation) and improve thinking in people with schizophrenia. 76 adults with stable schizophrenia took part in a double-blind trial where some received real stimulation and others a sham. The goal was to measure changes in symptoms, memory, and brain activity.
