Mouthwash breakthrough? study tests new rinse for quicker healing after tooth pull
NCT ID NCT07580599
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested whether a new mouthwash called THERAVEX helps gums heal faster after a tooth extraction. 51 healthy adults who had one to three teeth pulled used either THERAVEX, a standard antiseptic rinse, or salt water. Researchers used 3D scans to measure how much the wound shrank after 7 days. The goal was to see if THERAVEX speeds up early soft-tissue healing better than the other rinses.
