New hospital therapy aims to stop suicide attempts after discharge
NCT ID NCT07072845
Summary
This study is testing whether a short form of cognitive behavioral therapy given during psychiatric hospitalization can help reduce suicide attempts after patients go home. Thirty hospitalized patients who recently experienced suicidal thoughts or attempts will receive either five therapy sessions or standard hospital care. Researchers will track suicide attempts and thoughts for three months after discharge to see if the therapy helps.
