Can a new therapy quiet your inner critic as well as the gold standard?
NCT ID NCT07432139
Summary
This study tested whether Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) works as well as established Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help adults reduce harsh self-criticism. 95 Portuguese-speaking adults with significant self-criticism received six weekly online therapy sessions of either EFT or CBT. Researchers measured changes in self-criticism, depression, anxiety, and overall well-being through questionnaires during and after treatment.
