Dance class as medicine: new study tests movement therapy for kids with disabilities

Summary

This study tests whether a therapeutic dance program can improve movement, daily skills, and quality of life in children with disabilities. Thirty children aged 3 to 14 with motor impairments will take two one-hour dance classes per week for eight months. Researchers will compare their progress to children who receive no dance intervention.
