Summary
This study tested the drug thalidomide in people with a rare disease called systemic mastocytosis, where too many mast cells build up in the body. The goal was to see if thalidomide could slow or stop the disease by cutting off its blood supply. The trial included adults whose disease had come back or gotten worse, and measured how much the disease improved after 6 months of treatment.
